Last week, an independent committee of jurors has selected three media start-up ideas to win an incubation period of six months. The selection process came in the framework of the closing ceremony of the two-month program “Towards Digital and Sustainable Media” that took place this spring in cooperation with Al-Jazeera Media Institute (AJMI) and in partnership with the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ). The event was sponsored by Orange Jordan.
The event witnessed eight presentations by eight young and female media entrepreneurs whose project ideas employ the tools for digital transformation, storytelling, data journalism, media education and digital identity through different technologies such as big data, virtual reality and artificial intelligence.
